Development (Flash Flood!)

Flash Flood! is developed in a similar way to Humber in a Box. The core programme is built within the Unity-3D gaming engine, based on real-world data, and uses an Oculus Rift to view and interact with the virtual environment.

Our developers on this project cropped-betajesternew-copyare the excellent triumvirate, BetaJester. These guys specialise in virtual reality applications and are based in the Enterprise Centre, University of Hull.

The development will take three weeks to complete and we’ll be posting updates in here.

Scenes taken after Week 1 of development – top-left is a before flood scene, and top-right is post-flood. The bottom image is the before scene from a different angle.
